EXHIBIT AT LOUIS QUINZE

Discover the Belgian art market

11–14 March 2027
Waregem Expo · Belgium

Louis Quinze is a curated Belgian salon bringing together art, design and refined living in an intimate setting in the heart of Flanders.

Rooted in Belgium, the salon welcomes a carefully selected group of international artists, galleries, designers and makers who wish to introduce their work to a new audience and build relationships within the Belgian market.

Rather than creating the scale and anonymity of a large international art fair, Louis Quinze focuses on proximity. Between the work, the artist and the visitor. Between discovery and conversation. Between an initial encounter and a relationship that can continue long after the salon.

For international artists, Louis Quinze offers an opportunity to become part of a distinctly Belgian event while presenting their work alongside selected Belgian participants.

Belgian by origin. International by perspective.

A BELGIAN SALON WITH AN INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVE

Louis Quinze was created as a Belgian salon.

That identity remains central to the event. The salon takes place in Flanders, its primary audience is Belgian and its atmosphere reflects a culture in which art, architecture, design, craftsmanship, interiors and the quality of everyday life naturally meet.

At the same time, an interesting art environment needs new perspectives.

Each edition of Louis Quinze therefore welcomes a selected number of international participants. Their presence is intended to enrich the salon and introduce visitors to artists and work they may not yet encounter within their existing networks.

International participation is consequently approached through selection rather than volume.

We are interested in artists with a recognisable artistic language, a coherent body of work and a professional ambition to develop their market beyond their home country.

For international participants, the objective is equally clear: Louis Quinze should provide more than exhibition space. It should become an introduction to a region, an audience and potentially a new network.

WHY BELGIUM?

A small country with an international outlook

Belgium occupies a distinctive position within Europe.

Located between France, the Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg, the country has always been shaped by movement between different languages, cultures and markets. Flanders, the northern region of Belgium, combines this international orientation with a dense network of cities, businesses, entrepreneurs and cultural institutions.

For an international artist, this creates an interesting environment in which to develop new relationships.

Louis Quinze is not asking international artists to come to Belgium simply to exhibit for several days. The ambition is to introduce selected artists to a market they may not yet know and to create the circumstances in which meaningful encounters can develop.

The compact geography of Belgium also matters. Important cultural and economic centres are relatively close to one another, while neighbouring markets in northern France and the Netherlands are within easy reach.

This makes participation relevant for artists who see Belgium as part of a broader European development of their practice and collector network.

WHY WAREGEM?

In the heart of an entrepreneurial region

Waregem is located in West Flanders, between Kortrijk and Ghent.

The region may be less internationally known than Brussels, Antwerp or Bruges, yet this is precisely part of what makes it interesting.

West Flanders has a strong entrepreneurial culture with a dense presence of family-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, executives and professionals. Waregem itself lies within the wider economic corridor connecting Kortrijk and Ghent and is easily connected to other parts of Flanders.

Louis Quinze deliberately chooses this environment.

The salon is designed around the idea that interesting encounters do not exclusively happen in major international capitals. Art also enters collections through personal relationships, private homes, businesses and regional networks.

By organising Louis Quinze in Waregem, we bring art closer to this audience.

International artists therefore participate in a salon that is locally rooted while remaining connected to a much wider Belgian and European environment.

THE REGION

Waregem · Kortrijk · Ghent

Louis Quinze is situated within one of the most active areas of Flanders.

Waregem

Waregem is known for its entrepreneurial character and central position within South-West Flanders. The surrounding region contains a strong concentration of companies, family businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals.

For Louis Quinze, Waregem provides the intimacy required for a salon while offering the infrastructure necessary to bring together a substantial group of exhibitors and visitors.

Kortrijk

Approximately half an hour from Waregem, Kortrijk is an important regional centre with strong links to entrepreneurship, design and creative industries.

The wider Kortrijk region has a long tradition of manufacturing, interiors, textiles, design and internationally active family businesses. This creates a natural connection with the world Louis Quinze wants to build around art, design and refined living.

Ghent

To the north-east lies Ghent, one of Belgium’s major cultural and historic cities.

Ghent adds a different dimension to the region through its universities, cultural institutions, creative community, businesses and international population.

Together, Waregem, Kortrijk and Ghent create the primary geographical environment from which Louis Quinze intends to develop its audience.

Beyond this core area, the salon can naturally attract visitors from the wider regions of West and East Flanders and other parts of Belgium.

WHO WILL YOU MEET?

A Belgian audience interested in art and the world around it

Louis Quinze is developed for visitors who appreciate art within a broader cultural and living environment.

The salon aims to attract collectors and art buyers alongside entrepreneurs, professionals, architects, designers, interior specialists and visitors who are developing a deeper interest in collecting.

This distinction matters.

The future of an artist’s market does not depend exclusively on established collectors. Many collections begin with a first meaningful encounter with an artist or a particular work.

Louis Quinze wants to create space for those encounters.

Rather than building an event around visitor volume alone, our focus is on attracting people with genuine curiosity, purchasing capacity and an interest in discovering artists and objects that can become part of their lives, homes or professional environments.

For international artists, this means entering a Belgian context rather than simply meeting the same international art-fair audience in another country.

ART, DESIGN & REFINED LIVING

Louis Quinze brings several worlds together.

Art remains central to the salon, while selected presentations from design, architecture, craftsmanship and refined living create a broader environment around it.

This reflects the way people actually live with art.

A painting does not exist in isolation from architecture. A sculpture interacts with a room. Furniture, materials, objects and light influence how work is experienced. Collecting itself often develops as part of a wider interest in beauty, craftsmanship and the environments we create around ourselves.

Louis Quinze uses these connections to create a salon that feels different from a conventional sequence of art booths.

For an international artist, this provides an opportunity to present work within a context that connects artistic practice with the people and spaces in which the work may eventually live.

INTERNATIONAL SELECTION

A limited number of international participants

Louis Quinze remains deliberately rooted in Belgium.

International participation is therefore selective.

We are looking for artists, galleries, designers and makers whose work adds something distinctive to the salon and who see participation as an opportunity to develop relationships within Belgium.

Applications are considered according to the quality and coherence of the work, the professional presentation of the artist or gallery and the relationship between the work and the overall character of Louis Quinze.

Our aim is to create a balanced selection in which Belgian and international participants strengthen one another.

International artists are not presented as a separate fair within the fair. They become part of Louis Quinze while bringing another perspective into the salon.

FOR PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS

Participation as market development

Exhibiting internationally requires an investment of time, work and resources. We believe that decision should be approached professionally.

Louis Quinze is particularly relevant for artists who want to develop relationships beyond their existing geographical market and who understand an exhibition as one part of a longer process of visibility, discovery and collector development.

For that reason, we encourage international participants to think beyond the four days of the salon.

Participation can introduce your work to Belgian visitors, create new professional relationships, lead to studio or private conversations and provide a first point of entry into a market that may otherwise be difficult to approach from abroad.

We cannot predict individual sales or outcomes. What we can build is the context in which discovery and meaningful encounters become possible.

WAREGEM EXPO

A professional exhibition environment

Louis Quinze takes place at Waregem Expo, providing the salon with the space and professional infrastructure required to bring its different disciplines together.

The venue allows us to create an environment with clearly presented individual exhibitors while maintaining the open character of a salon.

Waregem’s location also makes the venue accessible from the wider region and provides international exhibitors with a practical base from which to participate in Belgium.

Our team can provide international participants with practical information regarding the venue, accommodation, installation, access and the organisation of their participation.

PARTICIPATION

11–14 March 2027

International artists and galleries can apply for participation in Louis Quinze.

COME TO BELGIUM. MEET A NEW AUDIENCE.

Louis Quinze is Belgian by nature.

That is precisely why international artists have a place within it.

We want Belgian visitors to encounter work they would otherwise have to travel to discover, while giving selected international artists the opportunity to enter a new market through a carefully constructed environment.

The result should feel neither like a local exhibition trying to become international nor like another international art fair that could take place anywhere.

It should feel like Louis Quinze.

A Belgian salon with an international perspective, built around art, discovery and meaningful encounters.
